Worker cost calculator

Calculate how much an employee really costs your company, adding the gross salary and Social Security contributions.

This is the gross amount shown on the employee's payslip (before their income tax and their share of Social Security contributions). It does not include the employer's contribution, which is a separate cost and is therefore added in the result.

Notice: the employee's gross salary and the employer's Social Security contribution are two separate amounts paid by the company — that's why the total cost is not the same as the gross salary, but gross salary + employer contribution + other costs. The employer contribution percentage includes common contingencies, unemployment, FOGASA and vocational training, and may vary depending on the company's activity code (CNAE), contract type and applicable rebates (e.g. permanent contracts with incentives, employees with disabilities, etc.). This calculator provides a rough estimate only; for an exact calculation consult your payroll provider. This calculator is based on Spanish labour law (Estatuto de los Trabajadores, Social Security contributions). If your company operates in another country, the results are for guidance only.
